Morning Garden, Speed Scrap, CT Call

Pretty Pixel Designs has a beautiful kit in her store called "Morning Garden." The colors are so rich and gorgeous. This kit would be perfect for scrapping so many different kinds of pictures. The elements make for perfect clustering! Here's a look at it. Isn't it just gorgeous?!?!?

I had so much fun creating my layouts with this kit. They just came together so easily. I just loved using all the flowers and foliage. I can't say I've ever used butterflies before but I loved using them in this first layout and they look like they are flying away. Cute, huh?

I hope you liked looking at this kit. Head over to the STS store to pick up "Morning Garden."

New store!

JW DigiScraps is opening a brand new store at Digital Scrapbooking Studio aka The Studio. She was a guest there last month and was asked to make it a permanent spot! She has a couple brand new releases to celebrating the grand opening of her store. One of them is a new template pack called "Stars and Scallops." I worked with the templates along with an oldie of JW DigiScraps-a kit called "French Gypsy."

Here are my layouts with the template set.

The above layout was made using "Color Me Happy" by Marni Designs and Brandy Designs. Here's another one I made using French Gypsy.

Oh boy!

Marni Designs has been busy! It's been a while since she has released a new kit but now she is releasing 3 brand new kits today! They are all part of a bundle called "Summer Fun." There is Summer Fun: Beach, Summer Fun: Pool, and Summer Fun: Backyard and they all center around water. These kits are designed so you can mix and match them if you want. Each kit sells for just $5 and the bundle (all 3 kits together) sells for just $12 plus you get a freebie alpha with the bundle! Right now the bundle is on sale for $9!!! You can't even get 2 of the kits for that price. I would hurry up and grab this bundle while it's on sale! I'm sure you'd like to see what these kits look like so here you go.
I have been busy scrapping with these 3 kits. I have made 3 layouts with beach, 2 with backyard, 1 with pool and 1 combining pool and backyard that also uses the alpha. I could have made more if I had had more time. These kits are very versatile too. You aren't just limited to water/beach pictures. Here are my layouts.

I also have 2 small freebies for you. I made 2 word arts to show off some of the elements. Here's a preview of the word arts.

You can download HERE. Then head over to Brownie Scraps to pick up these kits (or the whole bundle) from Marni Designs!

Brownie Scraps is hosting a Brownie Scraps Family Reunion in July. This is a whole month event with so many different games going on throughout the event. I've had a hand in planning 2 of the events and I can't wait for them to start! I'm also hosting a speed scrap then too. You can join in the fun but you will only be eligible for the prizes if you are wearing your "t-shirt" that comes in the "ticket" kit. Right now the ticket to this event is just $5 and you get a fabulous kit! Here's more information about this event. You can get the "ticket" kit (called Family) HERE.

Simple Life

It's time for my second freebie QP for you from the designers at Digital Scrap Cafe. This time I was able to work withe Simple Life Collection by Elker W. Designs. This kit has beautiful, soft papers, elements that work so well to cluster or use however you would like, 8 alphas (there is one included with the elements too), date elements plus people and animals. You get all of that with the collection. You can buy the pieces separately if you don't need/want all of that but all the pieces really work so well together you might as well go for the collection! Plus you get a QP included with your purchase. You get my QP for free too! Here's a look at some of the pieces of the collection.

This layout came together so easily for me but then my computer restarted and I lost it all :( Surprisingly I was able to recreate it fairly quickly.

Here's a preview of the freebie QP that I made.

Click HERE to download it. This link will only be available for 1 week so grab it now. Then head over to Digital Scrap Cafe to pick up Simple Life Collection by Elker W. Designs.

Frosty

No I don't mean the yummy treat from Wendy's (although on a hot day like today that would be so good!) Shel Belle Scraps has made several monochromatic kits and I think this one is my favorite! Frosty is a kit made of light blues and silvers. It has snowflakes in it so it works well for winter but there are so many other uses for it too. I imagine it would even work as a summer pool kit. Here's a look at the kit.

Here are a couple layouts I made using Frosty. This week's challenge with This Scrapper's Got Talent at Stuff to Scrap was to create a monochromatic layout with a black and white photo (or sepia-just not a colored photo). I just adore how my layout came out. I love it!

This kit kis 25% off right now! Take a look at it.
There is a coordinating cardstock pack that is also on sale 25% off!

Beach Cruisin'

Becky Young Designs has a gorgeous new kit in her store today called "Beach Cruisin'." I just love the bright colors in this kit (I'm a sucker for bright kits!) and the fun beachy elements. This kit has a very Hawaiian, tropical feel to it. I haven't been to Hawaii lately (sad day, I wish I could say that I had been) but my sister was so she sent along a picture of her daughter playing on the beach in Hawaii. That photo worked perfectly with this kit! Here's "Beach Cruisin'."

Here are my layouts using this kit. I realized that I used the cardboard color as backgrounds for both of them and didn't use the bright rainbow paper that I love so much! I'll have to make more layouts with this kit! Maybe I'll take my kids to Lake Michigan and snap some pictures at the beach there. Not quite as exotic as Hawaii! The first one I made for the font challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

Head on over to Becky Young Designs' store to pick up this kit!

Everyday Bliss

Did you know that Down This Road Designs is releasing a mini kit each month to help you with your Project 365 layouts? These mini kits are perfect to make layouts for a specific month. For example the April kit has an umbrella, flowers and some Easter elements. There is also a 13th kit that has the basics in it. After 3 months have been released, they are bundled up and you can get 3 mini kits for just $5! What a deal! Take a look at the two bundles that have been released already.

If you can wait for the bundle (which I know is hard because these minis are so cute!), you can get each month's kit for just $2 each. That's a great price too! I worked with Everyday Bliss 2nd Quarter Bundle and I actually used pieces from all 3 kits in my layout. You can mix and match! How cool is that?

Head on over to Down This Road Designs' store to pick up these bundles!

A Joyful Summer

Digi Designs by Nicole has a fun new kit out called "A Joyful Summer." The colors work perfectly for sunshine and water! It has cute sand and water elements in it. I had fun scrapping pictures of my kids playing in their sandbox and with their water table. They certainly don't stay dry playing with their water table! Here's a peek at "A Joyful Summer."
Here are my layouts. I made the second one for the Scraplift Challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I think the original layout is much better than mine but it's still cute, right?
I have a small freebie for you today too. It's another word art using the alpha and some elements from the kit. You can download it HERE. Don't forget to head over to Digi Designs by Nicole's store to pick up this kit.

Strikes & Spares

Been bowling lately? I sure haven't but it would be so much fun to go! I guess the most recent bowling I've done is wii bowling and I got a great score! When you take a look at this kit, I know you're going to want to go out to your local bowling alley and bowl! The Scrappy Kat has teamed up with Scrapalicious Cereal and put together 2 kits called "Strikes & Spares." These kits have tons of bowling elements plus snack bar food elements so it could be used for a cookout or a BBQ layout. It could also be used for any old random photos you may have, as you will see from my layout. Taking 15 month olds bowling would not be fun! Anyhow, take a look at "Strikes & Spares." Here's my layout that I made during a speed scrap a week or two ago. I very rarely scrap with 4 pictures but I love how it turned out. No bowling items in my layout!

Head over to The Scrappy Kat's store to pick up this kit! If you head to The Scrappy Kat's blog, some of her CT have made small freebies for you. You can find the links to her CT on her blog.
