Brownie Bake Sale

Brownie Scraps is turning 2 this month and they are celebrating all month long. There's a scrapping competition going on (I need to work on my layout for this week's challenge-it's due tomorrow!). At the end of the month there will be a Brownie Bake Sale. The Bakers at BrownieScraps have been hard at work for this month's Bake Sale! There will be over 30 exclusive products sold over 3 days. These products have never been sold or released before and will be retired at the end of the Bake Sale! You can use Brownie Bucks or regular money to purchase these products and if you want to learn more about earning Brownie Bucks, click HERE. Want a sneak peek of some of the kits that will be for sale? Here are a couple layouts. I'll have more later in the month. There are a lot of kits to work with!

Hit the Books and a Template

Digi Designs by Nicole has a new school kit in her store called "Hit the Books." It's a great kit for kids of all ages-toddlers through college! I didn't have any school pictures but I still made it work for pictures of my kids! Here's a look at this kit. There are so many pieces of this kit: quick pages, flairs, worn cardstocks!

You can use the coupon code HTBAddOn to get the flairs or worn cardstocks for FREE with purchase of the kit. There is a bundle for Hit the Books that includes everything. It's like buying the kit and the quick pages and getting everything else for free! Plus it includes a set of notebook papers that I don't think you can get separately!

Here's my layout.

I am hosting the template challenge at Stuff to Scrap this month. I used this layout to make the template for this month's challenge. Come on over and participate in the challenge!

Just Because and voting

I've been asking you a lot recently for your votes and I'm not done asking for votes! This time it's for a scrapping competition. Brownie Scraps is turning 2 and it's celebrating by having a Supreme Scrapping Competition. I'm already a Brownie Supreme so I can't win the prizes but they are having a staff competition and if you win, you'll win a gift certificate to Persnickety Prints! I so need this because I've never printed a single layout that I've created.

Onto the voting. We had to create a layout about our daily life, find a song that fit with our daily life and the song lyrics were the only words allowed on the page. I had a really hard time with this! I knew I wanted to scrap my children but I had no idea what song to use! I tried to google several things but it didn't give me anything I liked. Finally I found the song "You'll Always Be My Baby" by Sara Evans. It was about a parent talking to a child, not about people in love which is what I had been finding! Since my twins will probably be my only children, they will always be my babies whether they like it or not! Sniff, sniff. Makes me a little weepy to think about it! Anyways, here's the layout I came up with. I had to go back to April to find a picture of my kids together smiling. But this one is one of my favorites.

Please go vote for me HERE (vote for Becky22). Thanks

I used a kit called Just Because by Scrappin Daisies. I love the colors in this kit!

Beautiful Dreamer

Scrappin Serenity has a beautiful collab with Misty O'Brien Designs in her store called "Beautiful Dreamer." It's a perfect kit for all those sleepy pictures of your child and since the colors are both blue and pink you can use this kit for all of your children! I made one boy and one girl layout. Making these layouts made me just want to drift off to sleep, the kit is that peaceful (plus my pictures are of babies yawning!) Take a look at the kit and my layouts.

Mint Flowers

Scraps by Mara at Brownie Scraps has a brand new kit out called "Mint Flowers." It's all purples and greens which was perfect for scrapping pictures of my niece. She loves purple! Someone actually asked if Mara made the kit for me because the kit matches one of the pictures I used so well! Here's a look at this fabulous kit.

Here are my layouts (doesn't the shirt in the first layout match the kit so well??)

A freebie QP

I've got a freebie QP for you today from Paper Planes Designs formerly at Digital Scrap Cafe. I just fell in love with the colors in this kit called "Sweet Summer." The elements are fun and whimsical. Here's a look at the kit.

Here's the layout with this kit.
I made it into a freebie QP. You can download it HERE.

My new releases!

Well I finally finished my kit for this week's Designer Survivor challenge. This week we were each given a color palette, style and theme (we had choices but it was first come first serve). I was not sure about many of the styles so I chose the style paper because I figured I knew what that meant :) I didn't know what I was going to do about dance though. I've had the song "Dancing with Myself" stuck in my head for a while so I decided to take the route of dacing like no one is watching, to be yourself. I was inspired by ribbons of colors. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Here's my kit "Dancin' with Myself."

You can download it at the Brownie Scraps gallery for free until Saturday morning. Saturday morning I will take down the links and add it to my store. Please cross your fingers for me that I make it into the next and final round!

September is here (can you believe it?) and that means a new set of Build a Kits at Stuff to Scrap. This month I was able to participate because I loved the colors and I loved what everyone else did with their kits! I chose to do a piggy bank theme because I didn't think it had been done before! I really love how cute the piggies are! Be on the look out for a girl kit soon. Here's my September BAK: My Piggy Bank (Boy).

Check out the flyer for all the BAKs. Image is linked to the store.

September also means another collab kit from the Stuff to Scrap Designers. I loved the colors in this one too. It's called "Back to School Blues." It's that time of year when all the kids return to school (and my husband)! Check out this fabulous kit.
