Mini Kits

Digi Designs by Nicole has 3 new mini kits in her store. They are just $1.99 each! What a great price for a mini kit that can be used over and over again. I worked with 2 of the kits and made 1 layout for each of them but I could have made more!

Here's one of the minis called "School's Out." I made this layout for a speed scrap. I just love the fun, bright colors.

Another one of the minis is called "Brights of Summer." I made this one for the Brownie Flip challenge at Brownie Scraps. I just loved the bright colors in this one too. I'm a sucker for bright colors!



The third one, which I did not have the chance to work with, is called "Scrap It." The colors are a little tamer than the other 2!

Time to BBQ

Gettin Scrappy with Britt has a brand new kit out today called "Time to BBQ." This kit is perfect for all those outside BBQs that you have during the spring and summer. You can also use this kit for many other photos too as you will see in my second layout. The colors are primary colors with a sky blue thrown in. This week Time to BBQ is 30% off as are the QPs. Here's a look at this kit.
Here are my layouts. The first one was the closest to a BBQ picture that I had. The second one has nothing to do with BBQ but it totally worked! I made the second one during a speed scrap.

The Scrappy Kat and Shel Belle Scraps have teamed up to make a kit called "Boys & Girls of Summer." Let's Go Again!

Digi Designs by Nicole has a brand new kit out today called "Let's Go Again." This kit started as a patriotic kit for the 4th of July but then she added another color and some extra elements and it became a Disney kit too! So this is a versatile patriotic kit! I didn't have any Disney photos to scrap but I did have some patriotic photos to scrap. Here's a look at my layout.

Morning Garden, Speed Scrap, CT Call

Pretty Pixel Designs has a beautiful kit in her store called "Morning Garden." The colors are so rich and gorgeous. This kit would be perfect for scrapping so many different kinds of pictures. The elements make for perfect clustering! Here's a look at it. Isn't it just gorgeous?!?!?

I had so much fun creating my layouts with this kit. They just came together so easily. I just loved using all the flowers and foliage. I can't say I've ever used butterflies before but I loved using them in this first layout and they look like they are flying away. Cute, huh?

New store!

JW DigiScraps is opening a brand new store at Digital Scrapbooking Studio aka The Studio. She was a guest there last month and was asked to make it a permanent spot! She has a couple brand new releases to celebrating the grand opening of her store. One of them is a new template pack called "Stars and Scallops." I worked with the templates along with an oldie of JW DigiScraps-a kit called "French Gypsy."

Marni Designs has been busy! It's been a while since she has released a new kit but now she is releasing 3 brand new kits today! They are all part of a bundle called "Summer Fun." I have been busy scrapping with these 3 kits. I have made 3 layouts with beach, 2 with backyard, 1 with pool and 1 combining pool and backyard that also uses the alpha. Brownie Scraps is hosting a Brownie Scraps Family Reunion in July. This is a whole month event with so many different games going on throughout the event. I've had a hand in planning 2 of the events and I can't wait for them to start! I'm also hosting a speed scrap then too. Simple Life

It's time for my second freebie QP for you from the designers at Digital Scrap Cafe. This time I was able to work withe Simple Life Collection by Elker W. Designs. This kit has beautiful, soft papers, elements that work so well to cluster or use however you would like, 8 alphas (there is one included with the elements too), date elements plus people and animals. You get all of that with the collection. You can buy the pieces separately if you don't need/want all of that but all the pieces really work so well together you might as well go for the collection! Plus you get a QP included with your purchase. You get my QP for free too! Here's a look at some of the pieces of the collection.

This layout came together so easily for me but then my computer restarted and I lost it all :( Surprisingly I was able to recreate it fairly quickly.

Frosty

No I don't mean the yummy treat from Wendy's (although on a hot day like today that would be so good!) Shel Belle Scraps has made several monochromatic kits and I think this one is my favorite! Frosty is a kit made of light blues and silvers. It has snowflakes in it so it works well for winter but there are so many other uses for it too. I imagine it would even work as a summer pool kit. Here's a look at the kit.

Here are a couple layouts I made using Frosty. This week's challenge with This Scrapper's Got Talent at Stuff to Scrap was to create a monochromatic layout with a black and white photo (or sepia-just not a colored photo). I just adore how my layout came out. I love it!
