Bugs and Blossoms

Digi Designs by Nicole has a new kit out today called Bugs and Blossoms. This kit is for all those little girls who like bugs but are also girly girls. The kit has such fun, bright colors to it and the bug elements are just about the cutest things ever! I very much enjoyed working with this kit. This kit is 30% off this week! Take a look at it.

Here are my layouts. I made the first one for the instructions for a speed scrap. The second layout is a scraplift of one of my previous layouts that was chosen for the scraplift challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

I even made a small freebie for you. It's a word art. You can download HERE. Nicole has a freebie add on available on her blog. Make sure to head over there.

Digi Designs by Nicole also has new brushes in store that are 40% off this week. Here's a peek at them.

Stuff to Scrap is holding a designer call. Check out the flier.

Birthday Boy

Ramona The Pest Designs has a brand new kit out today called Birthday Boy. It's a fun kit full of birthday elements plus many other elements so you can scrap other pictures too. The colors are great for any age boy because it has blues, green and brown in it. My son actually had an outfit that matched this kit perfectly but I had already scrapped them all so I found other ones that woul work. You can buy the kit or you can buy the bundle which has the kit, alpha, word art set and template set. I would recommend the whole bundle! Here's a preview of the kit and the bundle.

Here are my layouts. The second one uses a template from the bundle. This kit and collection are 25% off right now so go grab it!

Happy Go Lucky

Meagan's Creations has a wonderful kit in her store called Happy Go Lucky. I loved the bright colors with a combination of more subdued colors. There are so many fun elements too like cute little birds. Here's a peek at her kit.
Here are a couple layouts I made with this kit. I did both of them during speed scraps and they both took me out of my comfort zone but I love how they turned out.

A Slice of Summer

I was able to work with Down This Road Designs' new kit called "Slice of Summer." It has so many cute fruit elements in it with such bright and fun summer colors! It would be a perfect kit to scrap all those summer pictures that you're getting this summer. There is also an orange alpha that would go perfectly with this kit in Down This Road Designs' store. Here's a peek at the kit and my layouts.

Don't forget to come to my speed scrap tonight at Brownie Scraps at 7 pm CST. I have a fabulous not so mini kit as the participation prize. I hope to see you all there!

Let Freedom Ring

I hope you all had a very Happy Independence Day for those of you reading who live in the United States. Our celebration still isn't over here. We're heading to a 4th of July parade this morning, then we're done celebrating! Becky Young Designs has a brand new kit out today called "Let Freedom Ring." I loved working with this 4th of July kit because I love all the stars that she has in the kit. That and I love the textures to the papers. Here's a peek at the kit.
I was fresh out of patriotic pictures of my kids so I used pictures of my niece. I made a card out of the second layout for my sister to send out to her relatives.

Contests

Well my 2 contests are over. I made it to the final round in This Scrapper's Got Talent at Stuff to Scrap. The last week's challenge was quite hard for me. I went through a lot of different pictures before I found some that would work. I earned 3rd place in that contest! I was so surprised. Here are some of the layouts that I made for this competition.
Background paper by Digi Designs by Nicole, other papers from the STS blog train Hey Mr. Groundhog. Layout below done with Early Spring by Scraps N Pieces.

I also participated in Minitopia at Brownie Scraps. I didn't win anything but I had a a lot of fun. I couldn't show you my layouts before because I had an alias. Now that the event is over, I can show you what I scrapped.

She's Back!

Ramona the Pest is designing again and has returned to Brownie Scraps. She's got a fabulous new kit out called "Sail Away" that can be used for 4th of July pictures, sailing pictures or all sorts of other pictures. I had no 4th of July pictures yet nor did I have sailing pictures so I used Cardinal baseball pictures even though I am very anti-Cardinals! I'm am a Cubs fan through and through but my sister and her family plus my parents are Cardinal fans so they had pictures that needed scrapping.

Anyways, back to Sail Away. You can just get the kit or you can get the collection. The collection includes the kit, 2 alphas, 2 templates and a pack of fabulous word arts. I worked with all of the pieces and I would highly recommend getting the collection which is on sale right now 25% off! Here's a look at the kit and the collection.

Here are my layouts. The first one uses a template from the collection (which you can also buy separately).

One of her retiring kits is "Mimosa." I've been eyeing this kit for a while because I love the tropical colors. So I snatched it up before it was gone and scrapped a couple layouts with it.

This second layout uses a template by Digi Designs by Nicole that will be coming out in Template Temptation 9 in the middle of July.

Red, White and BBQ

You're going to be seeing a lot of red, white and blue layouts coming up here soon since the 4th of July is right around the corner. But each red, white and blue kit that I have worked with has been different. The one that I am telling you about today combines patriotic elements with BBQ elements. So it's a perfect kit for the 4th of July when we all have BBQs but it also will work for any BBQ or get together you have during the summer! This kit is called "Red, White and BBQ" and it's a collab between The Scrappy Kat and Mommy Me Time Scrapper. Here's a look at the kit.I made a patriotic layout with this kit because I have NO BBQ pictures! Imagine that, no BBQ pictures with 16 month olds! I later got pictures from my sister that would have been absolutely perfect with this kit. I'll show you those with another kit that I worked with.

You are all so lucky because I have a freebie for you too! I've made a brag book page (7x5) for you all!
You can download it HERE. This is my first time using box.net so please let me know if there is a problem with the link or with the download. Make sure to head over to The Scrappy Kat's blog to find out how you can get more freebies!
