Summer Romance

It's blog train time again. I liked the color palette for the June Stuff to Scrap blog train but didn't get inspired by it. I decided to make an alpha for you all. And I included the paper that I made as the background for the alpha! I really like how my alpha turned out and I think alphas are nice to have! Here's a preview of my alpha.

Two Newbies

JW DigiScraps has a brand new full size kit out today and you can get it FREE! The kit is called "The One that Got Away" and it's a fishing kit but you don't have to just use this kit for fishing photos-you'll see that my layout doesn't have anything to do with fish! This kit is a collab with Seal Scraps and you can get her portion free too. All you have to do is visit JW DigiScraps' blog each day to get portions of this kit. Here's what the kit looks like.


Here's my layout. See no fish! This kit works so well for masculine photos, it would be perfect for father's day pictures. My layout uses portions from both JW DigiScraps' and Seal Scraps' kits, so you might as well pick both of them up!


Becky Young Designs has a beautiful new kit out today called "Fresh." I just love how fresh these colors are! LOL The patterns are a lot of fun too. Take a look at this kit.

Here is a layout that I made with this kit. I made it for the motto challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I had already made one for my daughter and I thought I should make one for my son. It's a two page spread. I posted the individual sides too so that you can see things closer up even though the journaling and the pictures get cut off!

Stuff to Scrap News

I just finished another layout using The Scrappy Kat's kit "Country Cottage." My niece's second birthday is coming up but I still had 1st birthday pictures to scrap! Luckily most of the challenges at Stuff to Scrap this month because Stuff to Scrap has just turned 1. I scrapped this layout for the Scrap What? Challenge. Before I show you the layout, take a peek at this mega kit.

And now here's my layout. I was experimenting with my lasso tool and managed to make all the edges of the paper strips angled. Cool, huh?

There's a lot going on at Stuff to Scrap right now. They are doing a call for their Creative Team and thier Gallery Girls. Here's the information.

Just for Me!

Just Jaimee has come out with a new kit called "Just for Becky Sugar and Spice." This kit is for me! I sent Jaimee a color palette and an idea of a theme and she made me a kit! I just love that! Marni Designs has also made me a kit but I can't show you that one yet :) I got the color palette for this kit from one of my daughter's shirts that I just love! I made sure I scrapped pictures of her wearing the shirt with this kit. Here's a look at the kit. This preview doesn't show it but this kit (if you buy the bundle) comes with glitters and an alpha.

Just Jaimee sells at Scrapable and Digi Scrapbook Mania. This kit is available in both stores. There is actually a second alpha at Digi Scrapbook Mania. I don't even have this alpha yet! I looks very pretty. Take a look at the layouts I made with this kit and notice how well the kit matches the shirt my daughter is wearing! The second layout uses a template by Aprilisa Designs.

New kits

Scraps by Andrea has a new kit out today called "Someone's In The Kitchen." This kit is perfect for all of those baking or cooking photos you may have or if you like to scrap recipes this kit is perfect! Take a look at this fun kit.

Sneak Peek

It's almost a new month and you know what that means! A new collab from the Brownie Scraps Designers. I was lucky enough to see the kit and to play with it already. The May addicts kit has been so much fun. Admittedly I haven't had that much time to scrap with the kit. Snuggle Berry Pie Designs did the addicts club this month and she came up with a kit called "From A to Z." It's an alphabet kit. You could make a whole alphabet book for your kids. I only did 1 letter so far "P." I guess I should have started with A but I did my layout during a speed scrap and the pictures worked so well for P. Here's my layout.

Music in My Soul

JW DigiScraps has a brand new kit out called "Music in My Soul." This kit is so different than many of the kits I work with. I created such soft, simple, but beautiful (if I do say so myself) layouts with this kit. My layouts look very similar because I first created one for my daughter, loved it, then needed to create a similar style one for my son. I think the pages compliment each other well. Divine Digital is still down but you can find this kit at Enchanted Studio Scraps or at Digital Scrapbooking Studio. JW DigiScraps has a freebie on her blog that goes along with this kit. Aquarium Fun

Digi Designs by Nicole has a new kit out today called "Aquarium Fun." It's a fit full of fun fish and other sea life elements. My favorite is the jelly fish! I also love the bright (but not too bright!) colors in this kit. I scrapped one layout of my niece at an aquarium but I also scrapped my son swinging. So this kit can work for other photos, not just fish photos. Take a look at the kit.

Nicole also has a freebie add on on her blog that you can pick up. She turned her sea life elements into CU items that you can purchase at her store. And now without further ado, here are my layouts.

Mamma Mia!

Designs by Sweet Mesquite has a new kit in her store at Digital Scrap Ink. Her kit is called Mamma Mia. I just love the colors with the bright purplish-pink, light blue, darker blue and beige. The kit has fun flowers in it and so many other cool elements. I had a lot of fun scrapping with this kit. I also used Designs by Sweet Mesquite's template set called "Got the Wiggles" to make my layouts for this kit. Take a look at the kit and the template set.

Rub a Dub Dub

Laurie's Scraps, who sells at Digital Scrap Cafe, has such a fun bath time kit called "Rub a Dub Dub." The colors would work well for pictures other than bathtime but I chose to scrap my daughter's first bath because the bath elements are adorable especially the ducks-they are the cutest ones I've seen! What's nice about this kit (besides all the cute bath elements) is that it's gender neutral-it works well for both boys and girls. I just loved working with this kit. I'm sure to do more layouts with it! Here's the preview of the kit and my layout.

Upcoming Speed Scrap

Mark the date & time on your calendar, as tomorrow The Scrappy Kat is hosting a speed scrap in the STS forum. The participation prize for the SS is part 1 of a 2 part kit. Part 2 of the kit will be the participation prize for a speed scrap she is hosting on June 2nd. Attend both speed scraps and get both minis that will combine to make a full-size kit called You Rock.

This is part 1 of the kit that will be the participation prize for Thursday's SS.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make this one because my kids might not be down for their nap yet. But maybe I'll be able to make it after it starts! I attended a speed scrap last night. I joined half way through the instructions and managed to get caught up by the time it was over. The journaling took me a couple more minutes but for me it was a really fast layout. This is what I created. I used Digi Designs by Nicole's latest kit called Get Wild and Crazy.
