New store!

JW DigiScraps is opening a brand new store at Digital Scrapbooking Studio aka The Studio. She was a guest there last month and was asked to make it a permanent spot! She has a couple brand new releases to celebrating the grand opening of her store. One of them is a new template pack called "Stars and Scallops." I worked with the templates along with an oldie of JW DigiScraps-a kit called "French Gypsy."

Here are my layouts with the template set.

The above layout was made using "Color Me Happy" by Marni Designs and Brandy Designs. Here's another one I made using French Gypsy.

Two Newbies

JW DigiScraps has a brand new full size kit out today and you can get it FREE! The kit is called "The One that Got Away" and it's a fishing kit but you don't have to just use this kit for fishing photos-you'll see that my layout doesn't have anything to do with fish! This kit is a collab with Seal Scraps and you can get her portion free too. All you have to do is visit JW DigiScraps' blog each day to get portions of this kit. Here's what the kit looks like.


Here's my layout. See no fish! This kit works so well for masculine photos, it would be perfect for father's day pictures. My layout uses portions from both JW DigiScraps' and Seal Scraps' kits, so you might as well pick both of them up!


Becky Young Designs has a beautiful new kit out today called "Fresh." I just love how fresh these colors are! LOL The patterns are a lot of fun too. Take a look at this kit.

Here is a layout that I made with this kit. I made it for the motto challenge at Stuff to Scrap. I had already made one for my daughter and I thought I should make one for my son. It's a two page spread. I posted the individual sides too so that you can see things closer up even though the journaling and the pictures get cut off!

Music in My Soul

JW DigiScraps has a brand new kit out called "Music in My Soul." This kit is so different than many of the kits I work with. I created such soft, simple, but beautiful (if I do say so myself) layouts with this kit. My layouts look very similar because I first created one for my daughter, loved it, then needed to create a similar style one for my son. I think the pages compliment each other well. Divine Digital is still down but you can find this kit at Enchanted Studio Scraps or at Digital Scrapbooking Studio. JW DigiScraps has a freebie on her blog that goes along with this kit. New release from JW DigiScraps

JW DigiScraps has a brand new kit in store today called Child's Song. It's a perfect kit for those pictures of your kids playing musical instruments. It's bright and colorful and has fun musical elements. I didn't have any pictures of my kids with musical instruments (even though their daddy is a band director!) since they are a little too little to play with them. I scrapped a great picture of my niece with maracas. It happens to be a Cinco de Mayo picture but it worked great with this kit! Here's a preview of the kit.

New release from Just Jaimee and a sneak peek

Just Jaimee has such a cute new kit out! It's called Just for Jamie Cupcake Sweetie. The colors are so pretty and there are cute cupcake elements. If you don't have baking pictures, that's OK, you can still scrap with this kit! I actually scrapped swimming pictures of my daughter. Just Jaimee opened a new store at Scrapable this weekend but this kit is only available right now at her Divine Digital store. Here's a look at this kit.




Here's the layout that I made using this kit. I'm in love with using square outlines recently! I just can't get enough of them!

New kit from JW DigiScraps

JW DigiScraps has a new kit at Divine Digital. It's called Spring Boheme. It's full of beautiful flowers, swirls, yellow and navy. It's a beautiful kit. I found this kit incredibly easy to scrap with. I barely had to do any work to make this beautiful layout. The paper really didn't need anything with it and the frame already had a cluster on it. I did add a few embellishments because I felt like I wasn't working hard enough! Here's a preview of the kit.

Guest Designer

JW DigiScraps is a guest designer this month at DigiDesignResort. She has an exclusive kit out called Life's Adventures which is currently on 35% off! What a steal! This kit has really fun papers! It's not what I would consider a typical little kid kit but it totally worked for my baby pictures! So it just goes to show you how versatile this kit is! Here's a preview of it.




Here are two layouts that I made using Life's Adventures. To explain the first layout, for the first year of my niece's life my sister would take great holiday pictures and send them out to all the relatives. She did this for St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc, so I decided to be different I needed to find really obscure holidays (which I did at this website) and send out pictures for those days. My first unusual holiday was International Eat an Apple Day back in September. These are the outtakes from that photo shoot. We've had fun trying to figure out what holidays to use and how to shoot them. Most recently I've had to photoshop one baby into the photo because I cannot get a good picture of the both of them at the same time. One generally crawls away! Anyways, here are my two layouts!

New Kit in Store for JW DigiScraps

JW DigiScraps has opened a new store at Enchanted Studio Scraps. She has also added a new kit in her stores (at Enchanted Studio Scraps and Divine Digital) called "Romance." This kit has soft colors and patterns, perfect for those romantic pictures. Here's a preview of her kit.

I don't happen to have many of those because I tend to take photos of my babies instead of my husband! Ha ha. So I used this kit to make layouts of my daughter. Here are 2 pages that I did. The first one was for the Brownie Flip Challenge at Brownie Scraps. They give you a layout and you have to flip it in some way to make it your own.

JW DigiScraps' New Kit!

Sneak Peek

Janice, JW Digi-Scraps, said I could show you the sneak peek of her kit coming out on the 13th! Here it is! It's a fun Valentine's Day kit for kids but it is also good for scrapping other things. I'll give you a hint.I did not make a Valentine's Day layout instead I used 2 of the colors to make a layout of my babies with a sports team outfit on. Any ideas what team I'm talking about?? News and a Challenge

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday, I'm working on a couple different projects. One is a mini scavenger hunt for the guests to play at my twin's 1st birthday party. I wanted to have a game that adults would like since my twins will probably be napping and my niece will be too, so it just leaves adults! I love participating in road rallys and scavenger hunts. My sister and dad put together a road rally for my 30th birthday. It was so much fun! Not too long ago my sister put together a photo scavenger hunt for a date day for my husband and I. I have her about 30 minutes notice! I'm working on scrapping that into a small flip book.

Another project I'm working on is related to digital scrapbooking. Stuff to Scrap has a forum blog train challenge. Anyone can sign up to make a mini kit or QP for the color palette and theme for that month. The train departs on the 1st of each month. I've picked up several of the trains before and I love them! I decided to try my hand at designing. So if I get it done in time, you'll get a free mini kit from me on March 1st. This month's theme is French Tulips and it has red, light green, light blue, navy and beige. I'm almost done with my papers. I love making papers! I wanted to make my own elements but I'm not that good! I'll probably have to get some CU stuff and then recolor it. But I'm trying to extract stuff.

A third project is what relates to my news. I don't know if you noticed but I have another CT blinkie on the right. I got accepted into JW Digi Scraps' creative team! Janice has a Valentine's Day kit that is going to be released on Saturday. I've already done one page for it and I'm going to work on another one soon. Stay tuned because you might get a freebie QP out of it!

Onto the challenge. I participated into another speed scrap at Stuff to Scrap yesterday. Luckily my babies cooperated and napped until I was done! I used a kit called Happy Day by Mel Hains Designs. I really love her style plus she gives away one free kit over the course of 4 weeks. This was last months (I think). Due to the instructions given for the speed scrap I had to use two elements that weren't in her kit. The straight stitches are from Os designs and the circle stitches are from Aprilisa Designs' Best Friends kit which I recolored. i've been wanted to scrap these pictures for a while but never got around to it. I just love watching my babies play duets on the piano!
