Another Layout

I cannot come up with creative titles for my posts! LOL I had no idea what to call this one! I made a layout last night using Amanda Carlson's Tuff Stuff and Tuff Stuff Add on Alpha. I had written earlier saying that I am guest CTing for her this month and I really haven't done too much with her kits. So I decided it was high time to get to another layout showcasing her beautiful work! I used the template from the Semi Homemade Challenge at Brownie Scraps. The template is by Leenie Lou Designs. I have to say this template was so much fun to work with! You can get it if you head over to Brownie Scraps and participate in the challenge! Anyway, here's my layout. Isn't this alpha so much fun???

An Annoucement, A Kit, A Speed Scrap, and A Sale

A lot to post about in one post! I joined another CT. I don't think I mentioned this one before. I'm now a member of Shel Belle Scraps' CT. Shel has a kit due to release on Monday that I so much fun! It's a collab with SAHM Scrapper. Each day next week, they will have a portion of the kit free to download. But the links will only be active for 1 day! I had tons of fun playing with that kit!

Shel also has a new kit called "Buttercup." It's her yellow portion of her monochromatic kits. She is giving away parts of this kit each week. She's on part 2 right now, so head over to her blog to pick up part 2 of this kit. Here's a preview of Buttercup.

Here's a layout that I made using Buttercup. I used the kit for the Brownie Flip Challenge which is basically like a scraplift challenge except for the fact that you have to flip the layout somehow. I love this picture of my twins because these onesies were so cute-especially the back side of them!

Onto the speed scrap. There is a speed scrap at
Stuff to Scrap tomorrow night. It's hosted by one of their newest designers, Seal Scraps. Check out the flier for the time. You'll get an awesome participation prize if you join in! I'm going to try but I may be too tired to join in! We'll see.

Stuff to Scrap is having a sale tomorrow in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The entire store will be 30% off but only for tomorrow. Make sure you don't miss this!

Two New Kits!

Marni Designs has 2 new kits out today and they're both boy kits! March, aka Marni Designs, asked for suggestions for color palettes and she picked one of mine (and added 2 other colors to it). Little Buddy was based on my color palette. How cool! Here's preview of Little Buddy.

Photobucket

All of a sudden, March showed us another boy kit that she made just because she wanted to scrap pictures of a little boy and the colors in Little Buddy didn't work with the picture. She made a fun kit called
Little Boy Blue. This one was so much fun to work with! Here's a preview of the kit.

Photobucket

What is so fabulous about releasing both of these kits at the same time is if you buy both of them at the same time, you only pay $8 for both!!!! Each kit is $6 individually, so this is a steal!!

Here are some layouts that I made using this kit. The first two are made with Little Boy Blue. The second layout uses a picture of my daughter too so you don't have to just use these kits for boys! The second two are made with Little Buddy.

I have a freebie for you! I have the frame from the First Tooth layout for you! Here's what it looks like. ***Sorry, link expired***

Guest Designer

JW DigiScraps is a guest designer this month at DigiDesignResort. She has an exclusive kit out called Life's Adventures which is currently on 35% off! What a steal! This kit has really fun papers! It's not what I would consider a typical little kid kit but it totally worked for my baby pictures! So it just goes to show you how versatile this kit is! Here's a preview of it.

Here are two layouts that I made using Life's Adventures. To explain the first layout, for the first year of my niece's life my sister would take great holiday pictures and send them out to all the relatives. She did this for St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc, so I decided to be different I needed to find really obscure holidays (which I did at this website) and send out pictures for those days. My first unusual holiday was International Eat an Apple Day back in September. These are the outtakes from that photo shoot. We've had fun trying to figure out what holidays to use and how to shoot them. Most recently I've had to photoshop one baby into the photo because I cannot get a good picture of the both of them at the same time. One generally crawls away! Anyways, here are my two layouts!

Thanks for stopping in!

Another Speed Scrap!

Stuff to Scrap is busy these days. There was a speed scrap last night and there is a speed scrap today! It's earlier in the day so maybe you can check it out if the evening didn't work for you! I was at last night's speed scrap but I really disliked my layout and I didn't think there was a way to fix it, so I trashed it! I don't think I'll be able to make todays because my chidlren haven't been taking afternoon naps and we're heading over to my sister in law's house to celebrate my father in law finding a job after 6 months of being unemployed! Hopefully he doesn't read this blog because he doesn't know about the celebration! Anyways, here's the info for the speed scrap along with the participation prize!

Some new layouts

I've been busy lately with doing a few designing things (which means freebies for you!!) and I haven't scrapped too many layouts that I can actually share with you yet! Marni Designs has 2 new kits coming out on the 15th, both boy kits! I actually haven't even played with the one yet! Here's a sneak peek of her kit called "Little Buddy." I really like the layouts that I made using this kit. I can't wait to share them with you!
I've also been working with another designer, Just Jaimee, who sells at Divine Digital. She has a new kit in her store called "Just 4 Kara A Whole Lotta Love." It's a fun and funky kit! Here's a preview of what the kit looks like.

Here's a layout that I made of my daughter using this kit.
You'll be seeing more of her designs because I joined her CT! I know I'm busy but I love it! I just can't get enough digital scrapbooking!

I posted a layout a while ago that used Designs by Sweet Mesquite's template from her All Clustered Up pack. The layout was about my son playing ball. If you don't remember it, check it out here. Here's a preview of the pack of templates. They are so much fun!!

You're probably wondering why I'm posting about this again. Well my layout was chosen as the Scraplift Challenge at Stuff to Scrap! What that means is anyone who wants to particpate in the challenge makes a layout using the designs from my layout. Hopefully that meant that people went and bought Beth's layout pack! I decided to scraplift my own layout and here is the layout. I turned the template to make it a little different! The kit is A Passion for Paisley by Scraps N' Pieces. It's such a beautiful kit!

Phew, that was a lot of news in just one blog post. If you got all the way to the end and read this whole message, you'll find a freebie right here for you! It's a template that I created based on a layout that I made of my son. I did a birth collage page of my daughter and one of my son. I turned this layout into a freebie for you! To make this layout I used Everything Nice which was a Jacabean Designs CT blog train. I also used one piece of paper from Dream a Little Dream by Scraps by Andrea.

I almost got this whole post written before my children woke up from their nap. They took good naps today! Anyway, here's the preview of the template. Click HERE to download it!

Stop on by in a few days for more freebies!

I recently got accepted to be on a new creative team! I haven't put up my blinkie yet so you probably don't have a clue who it is! I'm joining the Scrappy Kat's CT team. Kat sells her designs at Stuff to Scrap. So be on the look out soon for some LOs using her designs!

It's $2.00 Tuesday over at
Stuff To Scrap, so hurry over and see what fabulous things the designers put into the bin this week!

Here are just a couple of things you will find in the $2 bin from The Scrappy Kat store.

There's a Speed Scrap going on at Stuff to Scrap on Friday March 11th at 6 pm MST. I love speed scraps so I'm going to try to attend. It's the babies bedtime so I'm not sure I'll be able to join in the beginning! Scraps N' Pieces is hosted and they have a fabulous prize.

Guest CT

I'm guest CT'ing for Amanda Carlson this month. She has a cute new alpha out today that matches her kit Tuff Stuff. The Tuff Stuff Add On Alpha looks like it was cut out of index cards and then had a star punched out of the letter. It's so cute! Here's a preview of the alpha.

Here's the preview of her kit Tuff Stuff.

Here's a layout that I made using this kit and the add on alpha. My kids loved helping their daddy empty the dishwasher!
